Delete your account

You can delete your University Planner account and everything in it at any time. You do not need to contact us, and you do not need to give a reason.

This cannot be undone. Deleting your account permanently removes your courses, assignments, notes, study cards and marks. If you want to keep any of it, export a backup first: Account → Back up my planner downloads everything as a file you keep.

In the app

Open University Planner and sign in.
Go to the Account tab.
Choose Delete account.
Type DELETE to confirm, then confirm again.

Deletion happens immediately. You will be signed out, and everything the app is holding on that device — the copy of your planner, and the copy of any lecture notes kept there so you can read them offline — is erased at the same time.

If you cannot sign in

Email privacy@uniplannerapp.com from the email address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm the request and delete the account within 30 days, usually much sooner. We may need to confirm you can receive mail at that address before we act, because otherwise anyone could delete anyone else's account.

Nothing is kept in a "deleted" or recoverable state on our side. There is no grace period and no recoverable copy.

What is not covered, and why

Backup files you downloaded yourself. These are on your own device or in your own cloud storage and we have no access to them. Delete them yourself if you want them gone.
Other devices you were signed in on. Deleting your account removes everything from our servers and from the device you delete from. If you also used the app on a phone or another computer, that device may still hold its own local copy of your planner, and any lecture notes it kept for offline reading, until you open the app there or clear its data. It can no longer sync, because the account no longer exists.
Email we have already sent you. Account emails such as sign-up confirmations are in your own mailbox.
Ordinary server logs. Our hosting and database providers keep short-term operational logs, which may briefly contain technical details such as IP addresses. These are not part of your planner, are not used to identify you, and age out on those providers' own schedules.

How long it takes

Deleting from inside the app is immediate — it finishes while you wait, and the account is gone when the screen returns. An emailed request is actioned within 30 days of us confirming it, and normally within a few days.
